At the end of this course you will:
- Appreciate the value of both winter and spring crops in rotations
- Be aware of both the benefits and challenges spring crops can bring to crop rotations, from a farm and soil management viewpoint
- Understand some of the key agronomic factors linked to spring crops.
Designed for
Growers who are either thinking of, or intending to introduce spring crops into their rotation for the first time and growers who are already growing some spring crops and would like to expand their knowledge. This course will focus on a range of spring crop choices at a farm and soil management level. Aspects of individual crop species agronomy will be considered, but not in detail.
