NIAB is a leading plant science institute, covering plant breeding and crop agronomy, with customers and clients from across the UK agricultural industry. The NIAB Director's Day is an invite only event, for CEOs, MDs and senior staff from other industry companies and organisations, including government, to find out more about NIAB and its research.
Professor Sir David Baulcombe from the University of Cambridge and the UK Government’s Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Life Sciences George Freeman MP joined NIAB CEO Dr Tina Barsby to announce the development of the Cambridge Centre for Crop Sciences - a joint venture between NIAB and the University of Cambridge. Further details on the new Centre, including a new chair of Crop Sciences for the University of Cambridge to be based at NIAB, will be released in late summer 2015.
