After 15 years at NIAB, CEO Dr Tina Barsby has made the decision to retire. We will be starting the search for Tina’s replacement soon and she will remain in place until her successor has been appointed, which we anticipate will be by the end of the year.
The NIAB Board and Trust would like to extend our profound thanks to Tina for her exceptional work and leadership in transforming NIAB into today’s successful, internationally recognised crop research institute. Tina joined NIAB in 2006, becoming CEO in 2008. She is leaving NIAB in a far stronger position than it has ever been, having overseen a phenomenal expansion in research and service provision through an ambitious, wide-ranging programme of diversification, investment, merger and acquisition.
Please join me in thanking Tina for her leadership and dedication to NIAB, a hard act to follow. We wish her the very best for the future and her many plans for retirement.
Jim Godfrey
Chairman, NIAB Board
